    At the world's end, on the edge of civilization—there lies a panopticon beyond reason, a surreal novel that no one can truly comprehend. Every "resident" here holds an ideal, and every "visitor" arrives with a purpose. Amidst the many facets of madness, may they unravel the truth thread by thread.




I: Release Schedule for the 2.6 Version PV and 2.5 Merchandise Updates

    The 2.6 version PV will be released on February 21, and information on 2.5 merchandise will be shared in mid-to-late February.

We sincerely appreciate your support for the game's derivative content and understand your anticipation for the new update. Due to the proximity of these release dates to the Lunar New Year holiday—a time when many travelers still cherish the warmth of home or embark on journeys to the "Antarctic"—a brief adjustment period is needed, leading to a slight delay in the content rollout.

    The 2.6 version: "Madness and Civilization" marks the second main story update in the 2.0 series. This chapter takes place at "fin del mundo"—Ushuaia, the capital of Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. As the final departure base before reaching Antarctica, this "Panopticon" will introduce two brand-new 6-star characters, "Recoleta" and "Aleph," who will reshape perceptions through the mad rules of their twisted game.




II: A Series of Dusk: Ephemeral Coda Update

    With the 2.6 update, A Series of Dusk will receive a brand-new expansion—"Ephemeral Coda."

    Once this expansion is enabled, a new choice and cost mechanic will be introduced when selecting a route. Different routes will offer different buffs and artefacts to choose from. However, selecting an artefact will require paying a "cost," which in turn strengthens enemy monsters. While route buffs will only be effective on the current area, costs will persist and continue to stack—so choose wisely.

    To ease the gameplay experience, this expansion will also reduce the number of nodes on progression routes. Additionally, even without enabling the expansion, a new Goldsmith Prophecy system will be introduced, allowing players to earn extra keepsakes each week, up to a storage limit. These extra keepsakes will be awarded upon regular completion, helping players unlock Golden Alley rewards more efficiently.

    This update will also introduce a brand-new ending, which can be triggered without needing to enable the expansion. The specific conditions will be left for players to discover after the update goes live.




III: Gameplay Optimizations

    Recently, we have gathered feedback from various channels regarding the new in-game features. We appreciate both the encouragement and the constructive criticism. Thank you for sharing your sincere suggestions through game surveys and other platforms. The development team highly values your input and will continue to listen to improve future gameplay content and mechanics.

    We have also noticed discussions about issues such as grind balance, progression barriers, and difficulty in mastering new mechanics. The team is actively considering solutions and optimizations for future updates. Moving forward, we will maintain a steady update frequency while ensuring a better balance between casual and challenge-based gameplay, reducing daily burdens while enhancing enjoyment and sustainability.

    In Version 2.6, Limbo will receive a gameplay update. Starting from March 16 (Cycle 43), the number of challenge floors in Deep Sleep Domain will increase to 7 floors, and the total amount of Clear Drops obtainable per cycle will be increased to 700. Additionally, beginning with Cycle 43, players who achieve a full-star clear will be able to start from Floor 4 in the next cycle and receive all rewards from the first 4 floors upon completion.

    Meanwhile, Artificial Somnambulism will introduce a new experimental project: "Lucid Domain." More details about this feature will be shared in future announcements.




IV: Technical Optimization Updates

    We have been continuously working to provide a smoother and higher-quality gaming experience by implementing a series of optimizations. Many of these improvements are still in progress. Below is a summary of the technical and service-related updates and future plans.

  1. Addressing Lag Issues During Peak Hours
    We have received reports from players using certain devices or playing in specific regions experiencing severe lag during peak hours. Recently, we have carried out a comprehensive server optimization and upgraded to higher-performance server models. These improvements will enhance the server’s processing capacity and stability. Additionally, we are continuously optimizing the game’s performance across different devices to ensure a smoother experience and reduce lag issues.

  2. Feedback System Optimization
    We place great importance on player feedback and are actively improving our internal complaint-handling tools and processes to enhance response efficiency. By optimizing our support system, we can address player issues more quickly and reduce the time required to fix in-game bugs.

  3. Reducing Game File Size
    To alleviate the burden of large game files, we are working on optimizing the installation package algorithm and update mechanism. Our goal is to minimize the size of updates while maintaining game quality.
